For 365 days, Paul Miller disconnected from the internet. This short film by Jordan Oplinger & Stephen Greenwood for The Verge, titled “Finding Paul Miller” tells the story of an idyllic journey of self-discovery. On the eve of Paul’s return, they follow him on a road trip as he prepares for his return and takes a look back at the last twelve months.

Laura Marling presents this beautiful short film titled “When Brave Bird Saved” inspired and soundtracked by the first 4 tracks from her new album, ‘Once I Was An Eagle’ to be released 27 May. The film is directed by Fred & Nick.
The Floating Farmhouse in Eldred, New York takes its name from its innovative design whereby the porch actually floats on water. The original farmhouse has gone through a complete renovation by Givonehome to bring it into the twenty first century.
“The History of Typography” by Ben Barrett-Forrest is a paper-letter animation about the history of fonts and typography. 291 paper letters were used, 2,454 photographs were taken and 140 hours of work were required to complete the animation.

OVERS!ZE: ‘The Mega Art & Installations’ by Victionary investigates how size functions as a delightful tool to make a statement, break the routine or shrink us — taking us back to a time where everything else was much larger than us. The book includes interviews with some of the world’s most active big thinkers, to find out how they perceive space, public space and the merits of scaling up art.
This one is for all the foodies out there that enjoy dining out. San Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2013 list was recently published. Topping the list is Spain’s El Celler de Can Roca replacing last years to top dog, Danish restaurant Noma who have moved down to second. Sadly, Chicken Cottage has been cruelly overlooked again. “Life Drawing at The Book Club” by Wriggles & Robins is about how every easel (the stand/support for a canvas) in a life drawing class captures a different angle of the model. The film was created by editing each drawing with the next, moving around the circle of easels.
Heel Chair by Japanese design studio Nendo in collaboration with Italian brand Moroso. The chair gets its name from the shape of the back legs and backrest that resembles the silhouette of a spike heel.
